Homework 4

Below is a design for a website that uses fun graphics to invite users to inventory their possessions; each type of possession (e.g. electronics, clothes, appliances, etc.) is run through some sort of algorithm and the result is an estimation of how many "slaves" the person "has."  The point is that many consumer goods are manufactured by persons who live in impoverished societies and earn what many in the first world would consider "slave wages."  I suppose the goal is to get people thinking about purchasing from companies with fair labor policies... I wonder if any side effects of considering the lives of people in developing countries might be reduced consumption in general.
